Ketamine Healing
NAVIGATING YOUR JOURNEY
1. MEDICAL CLEARANCE
This is your meeting with the medical team who can assess if you can safely tolerate the Ketamine treatments. The medical team might have to involve your own medical team or refer to a specialist if there is any concern for safety.
2. GOAL SETTING
This is your meeting with the therapist that is used to set your psychotherapy goal and establish a comfort level with your therapist.
3. KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSION
In this Ketamine is utilized for treatment. You and your therapist will be navigating this session based on your previous work and identified goals.
4. INTEGRATION SESSIONS
A lot can come up in a Ketamine session and often times it is necessary to integrate it in a person’s narrative. This is where gains made in the Ketamine session are consolidated.
KETAMINE HEALING
KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY
Once you’ve been approved as an ideal candidate for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), our therapists can provide this service. The length of sessions varies from person to person, and from experience to experience. Preparation for a ketamine session requires assessment by your therapist regarding your readiness and your connection with your therapist. We’re engaging in a therapeutic endeavor to benefit you and those who are affected by you, creating a state of mind that is set in a safe, conducive setting.
Your initial session usually includes a low dose of ketamine administered sublingually to determine how you respond to ketamine — this typically doesn’t even produce a psychedelic response. You’ll be observed for sensitivity to ketamine, feelings of nausea, feelings of fright, or of losing control. The first dose is low to help mitigate these inherent risks of psychedelics and to determine the appropriate dose for your body.
CONNECTING PATIENTS WITH THERAPISTS
Blossom is both an administrator and facilitator of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Our primary service is to connect patients who are interested in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy with therapists that are qualified to perform such mental health services. Therapists that we connect you with will be able to determine if you are a suitable candidate for KAP.
Therapists that are listed on our site are therapists that have been trained by Blossom and are experienced with the principles of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Many of these therapists have their own expertise and niche in different types of psychotherapy. We’ll help connect you with the therapist that is right for you and your experience. The most important thing is connecting you with a therapist that makes you feel safe and that you can develop a meaningful connection with.
CONNECTING THERAPISTS WITH A KAP FACILITY
Not all therapists have the necessary tools or facilities at their disposal to be able to take advantage of the benefits of ketamine assisted psychotherapy. This is where the second aspect of Blossom offers assistance. We connect with other therapists who already have patients in their care who may be ideal candidates for KAP, and we offer the use of our facility once the therapist is KAP trained.
